Specialty Glass

Currently, our specialty glass offering is focused on quality, interior glass that is perfect for commercial applications. Our offering changes periodically to keep our products fresh and reflect current trends. Check back often to see what we've got new in our bag of products.

For example, acid-etched and low-iron glass is very hot in commercial interiors and furniture right now; so we've partnered with the best sources in the world to offer you these specialized in-demand products.

Acid-etched glass - is a beautiful and practical solution when used as wall dividers, mirrors, and as an accent in furniture or interiors. It's ethereal transparency looks like a traditional, sand-blasted piece of glass - but because the glass is etched on one side in actual acid during production, the "frosted" surface doesn't get ruined from finger prints or other oils. If it does get dirty, it can be cleaned easily without losing the frosted effect like a piece of sandblasted glass does.

Acid-etched mirror - gives a cool, dreamy reflection, without being too shiny. The outside surface is still the etched side that resists fingerprints and oils, the reflection is subtle. It has a warmer reflection than most steel and metal surfacing options in addition to being easier to keep clean than most metal surfacing materials.

Low-iron glass - is available in both the acid-etched products we carry, as well as our Gardner mirror and heavy-glass products. The reduced iron levels mean that the glass has less of the blue-green tint that can make your piece of glass look "aqua", rather than clear. In interiors where whites need to be their whitest, or where an aqua color won't work in the design, it's the ideal choice. While no piece of glass is perfectly clear, our low-iron options (like Starphire® ultra-clear glass, and DecorFlou® low-iron acid-etched glass) are some of the clearest glasses available.

Heavy glass - is what glass thicker than 1/4" is usually referred to. Heavy glass can range in common thicknesses of up to 3/4" thick. It is commonly used as tabletops, but can be used in other furniture applications and shower installations. Because of it's thickness, it usually is annealed glass (not tempered), but it can be tempered if the job specifies it. The thick glass can have additional types of edge work applied to it because of the larger edge surface. In addition to the common bevel or polished edge, you can have ogee and waterfall edge treatments.

Patterned glass - think beyond "pattern 62",...think cooler than "obscure". This isn't your grandmother's patterned glass. We have some exciting new patterned and textured glass that is fresh and updated for the 21st century. More information coming soon, but call us to discuss some options today.

Laminated glass - Dreamwalls Color Glass can be laminated "back-to-back" allowing the beautiful color to be enjoyed from both sides. This is a great solution for office cubicles - where the Color Glass can be used as a dry erase board by all cubicle residents. It can also be used for stair railings, room dividers, and other places where the "back" of the glass is exposed or needed functionally. It creates an incredibly strong double-thickness of glass that can withstand rigid ASTM ratings.
